Baum & Bonheur starts 2023 with a new management team

Peter Overlack, who took over the traditional tree nursery Baum & Bonheur | Die Lappen Baumschule GmbH in 2021, is pleased to announce the competent expansion of the management team:

Ralf Steinmeister will take over as Chairman of the Management Board on February 1, 2023 and will be responsible for the commercial aspects of the company, while Peyrik Möller will also be responsible for sales on February 1, 2023. Peter Overlack will continue to support and drive forward the strategic expansion of the company in Germany and abroad as Managing Partner.

Ralf Steinmeister can look back on a wealth of professional experience as a manager. In addition to many years in the banking and insurance sectors, he has also founded several companies. The fact that his heart beats for the world of tree nurseries today is largely thanks to Peter Overlack, with whom he has been friends for many years.

Peyrik Möller has had both feet in the green sector since the beginning of his professional life. The horticultural engineer has worked for what is now Baum & Bonheur for more than 16 years, most recently in the position of sales manager.

With this new appointment, the nursery is following the example of a number of other companies that combine commercial and industry-specific knowledge in their top management. “We are pursuing the goal of positioning ourselves in the best possible way in the world of large solitary tree nurseries and positioning the nursery for long-term success,” says Peter Overlack. “But we are also a modern and ambitious team that is not afraid to take different paths. We find it exciting to sound out where we can supplement the proven knowledge of the tree nursery world that has been built up over many decades and, if necessary, rethink some areas. Our loyal and motivated employees, many of whom have been with the nursery for decades, help us to do this. It wouldn't work without them.”

All three are optimistic about the future. “We are driven by an interest in our environment, in which trees play an important role, a great love of what we do and a high level of personal commitment,” says Steinmeister. “Change is constant, and that also applies to tree nurseries; but the prospects are positive and Baum & Bonheur is on the right track.”
